In 1960 Jürgen Spengler founded the catering company "Frankfurter Fernküche ". A company rooted in family tradition, as the grandfather of his wife ran a family company called Schorn, a sausage production company in Jena (Germany) which was bombed in WW2.
Jürgen Spengler´s company grew quickly and he started developing new business areas; in 1972 the company set up their first trade fair catering for the Japanese customer Suzuki.
Since 1978, the company operated as the "Frankfurter Party- und Veranstaltungsservice" and is continually expanding its portfolio. That same year the company backed its high degree of innovative and opens up a new business branch with the field of school catering. The first customer was the Private Kant-Schule which trusts the cooperation with FPS CATERING until day.
A generational change is heralded in 1996: Markus Spengler takes over the management of his father, continues the growing tradition of the company and led the company into the new millennium.
With a confident sense of customers' growing needs and the dynamics of an ever-changing market the business activities and range of products are continuously developed and adapted with the time.
In 2004 the legal form of the company is converted into a GmbH & Co. KG.
Soon the continued growth of the company also makes enhancements due to manufacturing, warehouse and logistics capacity required. According to this background, in 2005 we moved into a new production site in Frankfurt-Fechenheim.
2010 - the company turned 50 and changes its name to FPS CATERING GmbH & Co.KG.
With the new name the core competence of catering for which the company is famous and the customer is aware of since 50 years even more comes to the fore without forego old values and ways.
